Uitvlugt claimed their fourth win in the Stag Beer sponsored West Demerara Football Association (WDFA) Senior League, overwhelming Beavers 4-0 yesterday at the Den Amstel ground.
Although a 34th minute own goal broke the deadlock in the contest, the second conversion was anything but fortuitous as Kevin Duke slotted home four minutes later. The lopsided affair continued in the second stanza as sibling Kevon Duke added to the score in the 70th minute.
The finishing touch was applied to the matchup one minute later as Casper Evans found the back of the net. The undefeated Uitvlugt side now has 13 points and is in third position while Beavers remain in the cellar position on a solitary point.
Meanwhile, Stewartville defeated Wales FC 2-0. It was the fourth win for Stewartville compliments of first half goals from Paul Hector and Orette Stephenson in the 22nd and 43rd minute each.
Stewartville now has 13 points and is in fourth position while Wales are still on eight points and in the seventh position.
