Teams tussle for playoff spots

The final round of group matches of the fifth annual Court’s Pee-Wee Primary Schools football tournament will commence today at the Thirst Park ground with several fixtures as teams tussle for playoff spots.

In the opening fixtures at 10:00hrs, defending champion St. Angela’s will oppose Tucville while Success Elementary will tackle School of the Nations.

At 10:45hrs, F.E. Pollard will oppose Comenius Primary and South Ruimveldt will battle St. Stephens’s while Mae’s face-off with 2013 champion St. Pius and Smith Memorial engages Winfer Gardens at 11:30hrs.

The 12:15hrs round of matches will witness Redeemer Primary against Rama Krishna and 2014 victor Stella Maris against St. Agnes whilst J.E. Burnham battles St. Margaret’s and 2012 holder Marian Academy opposes North Georgetown from 13:00hrs.

In the final two fixtures at 13:45hrs, St. Gabriel?s will match skills with St. Ambrose and West Ruimveldt will lock horns with Enterprise Primary.

On conclusion of the group stage, the top two teams from each group as well as the best four third positioned teams will advance to the round of 16 knock-out stage.
