Steve’s Jewellery presents golden bats for Softball Cup MVPs

Steve’s Jewellery Thursday presented to the Guyana Floodlights Softball Cricket Association (GFSCA) the Most Valuable Player (MVP) prizes for the Guyana Softball Cup 6 tournament which ends today.

The presentation was made at Steve’s Jewellery, Church Street, where proprietor Steve Narine presented two gold cricket bat pendants, studded with diamond to Ricky Deonarain and Dharam Persaud of the GFSCA.

The prizes are for the MVP of the Open and Masters categories.

Narine, in brief remarks, said his establishment was pleased to be associated with the competition adding that apart from the GFSCA’s shrewd management and efficiency in promoting softball cricket, he is a great admirer of the group’s philanthropic gestures across the country.

Persaud, in reply, said the GFSCA was grateful for the support from Steve’s Jewellery, adding that the association was looking forward to a long and cordial working relationship with the entity.

A total of 24 teams from Guyana, Florida, New York and Canada will compete in the Open and Masters divisions, utilising the big white ball.

The teams will battle for lucrative prizes and massive trophies donated by Trophy Stall.

Fans can win one of four trips for two to four local resorts- Arrowpoint, Baganara, Aruwai and Kaieteur/Orinduik Falls.

Ten hampers will also be up for grabs.
