After months of delay, the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Stag Beer Elite League officially kicks off today from 16:00hrs at the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) ground in Queenstown with a doubleheader.
The curtain raiser pits the always dangerous Guyana Defence Force (GDF) against newcomer Victoria Kings from the East Coast of Demerara, in what promises to be a bruising affair.
In the feature contest, Fruta Conquerors will match skills with historical foe and the other debutant, Linden’s Topp XX at 18:00hrs.
The event will resume on Friday November 25th, at the Tucville Community ground. In the first fixture at 18:00hrs, Buxton United will oppose Monedderlust, while Fruta Conquerors will tackle Victoria Kings from 20:00hrs.
Winner of the tournament will walk-away with $6,000,000 and the championship trophy, while the second, third and fourth place finishers will pocket $3,000,000, $2,000,000 and $1,000,000 respectively.
