50th anniversary of Women’s Army Corps

Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo, who is performing the duties of President and his wife Mrs Sita Nagamootoo, First Lady Sandra Granger, and Ministers of Government among others today attended the Women’s Army Corps 50th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service at the National Cultural Centre, a release from the PM’s office said.

Gov’t officials in moves to head off miners protest

Third Powell hundred leads Hurricanes to win

Dear Editor, It was reported in the news media on February 2nd, that Minister of Natural Resources, Raphael Trotman had arranged for Jeff Simons, country manager for ExxonMobil development of its oil & gas sectors to address Ministers, Heads of Departments and others regarding production preparation and the methodology which will be deployed to produce oil by Year 2020 from the recently discovered Liza field off Guyana’s northern coast.

On Wednesday the Ministry of Natural Resources invited the media to an event at the Marriott Hotel where US oil company ExxonMobil was to brief Government of Guyana officials on the latest developments in the commercialising of the country’s offshore oil riches.
