Seaman shot dead execution-style

Police are investigating the murder of Roy Rowland, 27, a seaman of Lot 25 Castello Housing Scheme, La Penitence, Georgetown, whose body was discovered about 6.30 this morning with a suspected gunshot wound to the back of its head, on the eastern parapet of Marigold Street, Roxanne Burnham Gardens, Georgetown.

(Trinidad Express) TWO MEN were shot dead in Marcano Quarry, Beverly Hills, yesterday, but even with scores of heavily-armed police and soldiers on the scene, a single shot rang out close to where the murder occurred, ­resulting in police, soldiers and ­media taking cover.

PPP lambastes gov’t over drug shortages

The Opposition People’s Progressive Party (PPP) on Wednesday lambasted the government over what it said were massive shortages of drugs at hospitals, charging that at one facility 400 surgeries couldn’t be done because anaesthetics were not available.
