PPP/C protests against Patterson

With Parliament reconvening today, dozens of PPP/C supporters and some of their MPs protested against President David Granger’s unilateral appointment of retired justice James Patterson as Chairman of the Guyana Elections Commission.

GTT hands over $4.7m to cancer foundation

The Guyana Telephone and Telegraph (GTT) yesterday handed over $4.7m to the Guyana Cancer Foundation (GCF),  closing the curtains on the month-long PINKtober activities aimed at raising funds to  fight cancer, a release from the Ministry of the Presidency said.
