Fifty-seven gov’t buildings for solar systems

The Guyana Energy Agency (GEA) is inviting bids for the installation of grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on 57 government buildings.

An advertisement in Saturday’s Stabroek News said that the buildings are divided into six lots. Interested bidders can obtain more information from the GEA at 295 Quamina Street.

Interested bidders are advised to attend a pre-bid meeting to be held at the GEA conference room at 295 Quamina St on January 20th  2016 at 1.30 pm.

National Competitive Bidding procedures apply and bids have to be submitted by February 7th 2016 at 9 am to the NPTAB at Main and Urquhart streets.

In the 2017 budget unveiled last month, the government outlined a series of green energy measures.
