GTT says to absorb 14% VAT on DSL -mobile data now attracts VAT

GTT on Tuesday said that the prices for DSL internet service will not change because of the 2017 budget measures but mobile data plans will now attract 14% VAT.

In a statement on Tuesday, GTT said that it recently changed the prices for its internet plans to offer more value to its customers and it wants its customers to continue to enjoy the higher speeds without the 14% VAT at this time.

The company says it will apply the 14% VAT to mobile data and dedicated internet business services.

The reduced VAT amount will also be applied to landline services which previously attracted 16% VAT.
