Six months on, Gravity still to reopen to public

Popular hangout spot, The Gravity Lounge is still to reopen to the public six months on but it hosts private events.

Last September, Gravity, through its Facebook page announced the temporary closure, saying, “Good morning all! After 3 amazing years, and over 500,000 visitors, it’s time we hit the reset button! We will be closing from Today to do complete overall maintenance alongside renovations and upgrades.

We thank you for all the endless support and will notify you when we will be reopening!

”When contacted, the management of the Lounge declined to comment on the situation, but Stabroek News was reliably informed that though the establishment remains closed to the public, it facilitates private events, as well as catering upon request.

The source however was unable to definitely say when work on the Lounge is expected to be completed.

Situated on the top floor of the United Centre at the south-east corner of Regent and Camp streets, the Gravity Lounge was officially launched on July 25, 2013.  It also featured a restaurant service.
