It was alleged that on March 10, 2015, at Agricola, East Bank Demerara, Young murdered Persaud.

Young was discharged yesterday by Georgetown Magistrate Dylon Bess, who found that there was insufficient evidence presented by the prosecution through its witnesses.

Persaud, 27, called ‘Billo,’ was shot dead by a gunman at Second Street, Agricola.

At the time of the shooting, he was sitting on a log in front of his home. He sustained gunshot injuries to his foot, hand and chest.
