The Middle Road, La Penitence beautician who was busted in the US state of Georgia in December 2015 was jailed on March 29th for 15 months by an Atlanta judge.
Delshana Christopher had struck a plea deal on January 11th this year and a sentence of 15 months had been recommended. According to court documents seen by Stabroek News, Judge Orinda D. Evans handed down a sentence of 15 months for knowingly importing a controlled substance into the US.
Upon completion of the imprisonment, Christopher is to be turned over to immigration officials for deportation proceedings. Should she not be deported, she shall be on supervised release for three years.
In February last year, Christopher had pleaded not guilty to two cocaine charges.
