Family calls for investigation into Lusignan handyman’s death

Relatives of Ramesh Narine, the Lusignan handyman, who was found motionless on Monday on a street in the village, are calling on the police to conduct a thorough investigation since they believe he was beaten to death.

Narine, 42, of 341 Lusignan, East Coast Demerara, was subsequently pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital at approximately 5.50 pm.

A post-mortem examination revealed that he had died from a brain haemorrhage, consistent with one resulting from a fall.
