Driver in fatal Salem crash regains consciousness

The driver in the Salem, East Bank Essequibo accident on Monday that claimed the life of Marlon Gobin, has regained consciousness but remains hospitalised in a stable condition.

Commander of ‘D’ Division, Leslie James told Stabroek News that Ricky Ramnauth has since regained consciousness and is currently admitted at the West Demerara Regional Hospital where his condition is listed as stable.

Gobin, 29, a painter and cell phone technician of Lot 312 Parika, EBE died on Monday morning, after the car he, Ramnauth and another were in, toppled and ended up in a canal at Salem, EBE.
