Motorcyclist dies after crash at Nismes

A Bagotville, West Bank Demerara (WBD) motorcyclist died on Sunday morning following a collision with a car on the Nismes Public Road, West Bank Demerara.

Corwin Anderson of Lot 99 David Rose Street, Bagotville, WBD collided with the motor car PJJ 6297 around 6 am on Sunday.

According to police, Anderson was riding motorcycle CG 4337 in the northern direction when he collided with a car that was travelling in the opposite direction.

As a result of the impact, Anderson flicked off his motorcycle and landed several feet away. He was picked up by public-spirited citizens and rushed to the West Demerara Regional Hospital, where he succumbed while receiving medical attention.

The driver of the motor car was taken into police custody and he is assisting with investigations.
