Ally pleaded guilty to having possession of 2,025 grammes (equivalent to 4.4 pounds) of cannabis for trafficking when he was arraigned before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan in Georgetown yesterday.

The charge stated that he had the cannabis on April 25, at Albouys Street, Albouystown, better known as ‘Gym Yard.’

Police Prosecutor Arvin Moore told the court that on April 25, the police did a search of Ally’s Lot 34 Albouys Street, Albouys-town home, which is known as “Gym Yard.’ During the search, Moore said, the police found Ally hiding under a bed, hugging two black, bulky bags. The bags were taken from him and when opened they were found to have contained a quantity of leaves, seeds and stems.

Before sentencing and fining Ally, the Chief Magistrate asked why he had the cannabis. Ally stated that he would boil it and drink it.
