Jury empanelled for Kaneville murder trial

A 12-member jury was yesterday morning empanelled before Justice Navindra Singh at the High Court in Georgetown, to hear the trial of Ryan Van Lange, who is accused of murdering Jason Ramotar.

The allegation against Van Lange is that on May 31, 2015, at Kaneville, East Bank Demerara,

he murdered the father of two.

The trial will formally commence tomorrow morning at 9.

The state’s case will be led by Prosecutor Siand Dhurjon, who will be calling eight witnesses.

Van Lange will be represented by defence attorney Mark Conway.
