Man gets 18 months after fight over food ends in injury

A city court yesterday handed down an 18-month sentence to a man who admitted to inflicting grievous bodily harm on another man.

Patrick Sultan was charged with unlawfully and maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm on Rickford Munroe on May 25th, at Albouystown.

Sultan pleaded guilty after the charge was read. He told the court that it was the complainant who first picked up a piece of wood to hit him after they had an argument over food. After his admission, Magistrate Leron Daly sentenced Sultan.
