Sophia man accused of theft from Texila

A Sophia man was yesterday granted bail after being charged with stealing $148,000 in items from Texila American University.

Carl Rodrigues, 29, denied the allegation that he, on June 3, at Red Road, Providence, broke and entered Texila American University and stole a $60,000 laptop and an $88,000 visual presenter.

No facts in relation to the matter were presented by the prosecution, however, the court heard that the laptop had been recovered.
