Suspects in Linden miner’s murder surrender to Police

The suspects in the murder of Carlos Wong, a miner who was fatally chopped two Fridays ago, at Omai Landing, have turned themselves into the police.

Police Commander of ‘F’ Division, Ravindradat Budhram told this newspaper that the men surrendered to police in the company of their lawyer on Tuesday, at the headquarters of the Criminal Investigation Department, at Eve Leary, Kingston.

Wong, 46, a miner of Half Mile Wismar, Linden was chopped to death following a misunderstanding between him and the suspect.

According to reports, as a result of the misunderstanding, one of the suspects whipped out a cutlass and dealt chops to his right hand. The men eventually fled the scene of the crime and left Wong unattended.

He was subsequently taken for medical attention but was pronounced dead on arrival.
