Cops hit wall in fatal stabbing of Sophia man

The police have hit a hurdle in the investigation of the murder of Trevor Dublin, the BK International worker who was found stabbed to death on Saturday night in Sophia.

Investigators have been finding it difficult to find witnesses who may have seen or heard any altercation between Dublin and his killer(s).

Dublin, 49, of Lot 385, ‘C’ Field, Sophia, was found on Saturday night on the ‘C’ Field, Sophia Access Road, with a single stab wound to the left side of his chest.

According to a police statement, Dublin’s body was found around 10.15 on Saturday night by police ranks who were on patrol in the Sophia area.

The statement also revealed that a knife and a toque were found in proximity to the body.

An ‘E’ Field, Sophia resident was taken into custody to aid with the investigation.

However, ‘C’ Division Commander Calvin Brutus yesterday said that the resident was not cooperating. He, however, added that the investigation was ongoing.

Meanwhile, Dublin’s wife, Nadia Dublin, yesterday called on the police for a speedy investigation into her husband’s murder. She said a post-mortem examination is likely to be conducted tomorrow morning.

Dublin, who is survived by his wife and five children, was an employee at BK International for eight years.
