Number 28 cyclist dies in crash at Lovely Lass

A West Coast Berbice (WCB) pedal cyclist was struck down and killed on the Lovely Lass public road last night after visiting his sister in another village.
The man has been identified as Keifer Halley, 21, a construction worker of Number 28 Village, WCB.
Information reaching Stabroek News revealed that the young man was pedalling home sometime around 9 pm on the Lovely Lass public road when he collided with a motor van bearing registration number GPP 4166.
He was picked up by first responders and rushed to the Fort Wellington Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Stabroek News was unable to confirm if the driver of the vehicle is in police custody assisting with investigations.
