50 pounds of cannabis was found by the police after it was tossed out of a vehicle on the West Coast Berbice. According to police sources, a silver-grey Toyota Premio 
turned back at a police road block at Weldaad around 11:30 am yesterday. The police subsequently followed and noticed two bulky parcels being tossed out of a window of the vehicle. The items were retrieved and found to contain some 50 lbs of marijuana.
The vehicle, which managed to escape, was found abandoned shortly after. The car is allegedly registered to a Laluni Street, Queenstown couple.
