SOL Guyana Inc on Wednesday afternoon held its Grand Draw to conclude its ‘Save For A Year with Shell Fuel Save’ promotion, at Lowe’s Service Station on Vlissengen Road, Bel Air Park and the top winner is Ilham Wazid.
The promotion which lasted for a period of eight weeks came to a close last Friday.
The Fuel Save Promotion to introduce a new gasoline which is designed to be more efficient, commenced on June 9, awarded three lucky winners who spent $3,000 or more at any Shell outlet countrywide. The grand drawing received approximately 500,000 entries from SOL customers across the country.
Ilham Wazid, of La Jalousie, West Coast Demerara (WCD,) was the lucky winner of the first prize of one year’s payment of mortgage or rent. The second place prize, which was for car payments for one year, went to Fhyad Edoo, of Meten-Meer-Zorg, WCD, while Leon James, of Lamaha Gardens, Georgetown was the recipient of the third prize which entitles him to one year of Fuel Save gasoline.
General Manager of SOL Guyana, Liz Wyatt, in an address to the gathering, urged the general public to sample the Fuel Save gasoline in their vehicles for a greener nozzle. She added that she was quite enthusiastic about the number of entries received which amounted to almost 500,000 coupons.
On conclusion of the draw, the employees of SOL Guyana Inc. engaged their customers in a “Happy Hour” giveaway of tokens in a show of appreciation for their support.
