Chinese businessman died of head trauma, strangulation – autopsy

An autopsy conducted on the remains of Chinese businessman Liyan Jiang, who was found bound and gagged in his Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo home last Thursday night, has found that he died as a result of blunt trauma to the head and strangulation.

Divisional Commander Leslie James yesterday confirmed the results of the autopsy, which was performed earlier this week. He said no arrest has been made as yet but the probe is continuing.

The lifeless body of Jiang, 44, of Lot 343 Block 8 Tuschen, New Housing Scheme, was discovered around 10 pm last Thursday in the bathroom area of the lower flat of the house, where he operated the Parade Chinese restaurant.
