Repeat cocaine trafficker sentenced to three years

Ex-convict Orin Lewis Boodie, was yesterday sentenced to three years in jail, and fined $100,000 after he was found guilty of trafficking cocaine.

The charge against Boodie states that on July 4, 2014 at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri he had in his possession 7.170 kilogrammes of cocaine.

Boodie was convicted for the crime by Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus at the Providence Magistrate’s Court.

Having considered the evidence led by the prosecutor’s witnesses, the Magistrate later sentenced Boodie and fined him for the crime.
