GPHC urges public to use Complaints Office

The Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation has urged members of the public to use its Complaints Office if they are aggrieved about the quality of service they have received.

In a statement yesterday, it said that the Complaints Office is located next to the entrance of its New Market Street Complex.

“All complaints will be treated with strict confidence and investigated by our Patient Complaints Committee which is chaired by the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and has amongst its members the Director of Medical & Professional Services, Quality Improvement Manager and the Public Relations Officer.

“After investigations are completed, be assured that all efforts will be made to correct any deficiencies to ensure there is no recurrence in the future”, the statement added.

It said that if there is any aggrieved member of the public who is unable to visit the institution, the person is requested to contact the Public Relations Officer at 227 8234 or the Quality Improvement Manager at 227 6902 to lodge a complaint.
