Suspect in wedding house killing remanded

Rajen Dindial, who is accused of fatally wounding another man at a wedding house, was yesterday charged with murder and remanded to prison.

It is alleged that on September 3, at Grove Squatting Area, Dindial murdered Alston Henry.

It is alleged that Dindial wounded the deceased after an argument at the wedding house. Henry was rushed to the hospital and was later pronounced dead.

Dindial was not required to enter a plea to the indictable charge, which was read to him by Magistrate Judy Latchman in Georgetown.

He was then remanded to prison. He is to make his next court appearance on September 18 before the Chief Magistrate.
