Stanwin Small 36, of 642 South Amelia’s Ward, Linden, and Rhonda Hercules, 33 of Wismar, Linden, both pleaded not guilty to the charge, which was read by Magistrate Judy Latchman in Georgetown.

The charge stated that on September 28, while in Georgetown, they had in their possession 1.1 kg of cannabis.

The prosecution asked for bail to be refused since no special reason was provided to the court. The prosecutor further added that given the quantity of narcotics, the accused might not return to court.

As a result bail was refused. The two accused are expected to return to court on October 5, when the matter is slated to be called again.
