Sex workers charged again with robbing client

Two sex workers were yesterday charged with robbing a client.

The court of Magistrate Judy Latchman also heard that the accused, Kevin Forester, 21, and Godfrey Cox, 19, both have a pending charge of a similar nature, for which they were out on bail. As a result, the men were denied bail.

The new charge against them states that on October 24, at Croal Street, they allegedly robbed Victor Bess of GY$84,000 and US$370, amounting to GY$158,000 in total.

Seeing that the men had a pending matter, the prosecutor objected to bail being granted and his objection was upheld by the magistrate. The proceedings have been adjourned until November 10.
