Cops awaiting legal advice on fatal Cove and John accident

The police have wrapped up the investigation into the fatal accident along the Cove and John Public Road that claimed the life of cyclist Derrick Freeman and they are now awaiting legal advice on charges.

This is according to police spokesman Shivpersaud Bacchus, who told Stabroek News yesterday that the case file has been sent to the Chambers of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

Freeman, 71, of Lot 4 Cove and John Public Road, East Coast Demerara, died on October 28 after he was struck down by motor vehicle, GTT 4080, which was driven by Dennis Stewart, a resident of New Market Street, Georgetown.
