On November 5th , while the police were conducting a raid, 22-year-old Marlon Smartt, who does not have a firearm licence, was allegedly found with a .32 pistol and three .32 rounds of ammunition.
Smartt who pleaded not guilty to the charge, was found at a building on Regent Street of which he claims to be the caretaker. His lawyer stated that the property of which Smartt is the caretaker, has been broken into numerous times.
The prosecutor objected to bail being granted based on the seriousness of the offence.
Magistrate Fabayo Azore denied bail and adjourned the matter to November 15th.
