Police arrested an Albouystown porter on Friday evening after reportedly finding an unlicensed revolver in his possession.
At about 7.20 pm, police ranks, acting on intelligence gathered, went to a location at Hill Street, Albouystown, where they arrested the 23-year-old suspect, the Guyana Police Force said in a brief statement yesterday.
A search was conducted on a bag the man was carrying and it uncovered an unlicensed .32 Taurus revolver. The man is expected to be charged shortly.
