A 32-year-old Albouystown man was yesterday placed on $55,000 bail after pleading not guilty to two charges.
The first charge stated that Jessie Knights, in the company of others, on December 1st at Barr Street and Trench Road, Albouystown, set fire to someone’s home.
Knights who pleaded not guilty to this charge, begged the court for leniency whilst on his knees in the docks.
The second charge stated that Knights, on December 2nd, at the East Ruimveldt Police Outpost unlawfully assaulted Rafiq Hussain.
Magistrate Fabayo Azore granted Knights $50,000 bail on the first charge, and $5,000 bail on the second.
The matter was adjourn-ed to January 10th, 2018.
