Cook on ganja trafficking charge

A cook was yesterday granted bail on a ganja trafficking charge.

The charge stated that Wesley Hinds on December 19th at Sandy Babb Street, Kitty had in his possession 24 grammes of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.

Hinds pleaded not guilty to the charge and stated that the police didn’t find any drugs on him but they found it in a hammock. He said 15 other persons were in the yard where the cannabis was found.

Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan placed him on $30,000 bail and he is to report to the Kitty Police Station every Friday until his trial begins.
