(Jamaica Gleaner) The bloodletting in St James continued on the weekend, with seven persons being killed and one being injured by gunmen in separate incidents.
The shootings occurred between yesterday and today in Barnett Hall, Salt Spring, Norwood Gardens, Shanty Town and Leaders Avenue.
Four of those killed have been identified as: 39-year-old Richard Campbell; Andrew Lewis, 37; Sharvorna Brown, 24, otherwise called Crissy; and 25-year-old Jhevon James, also called Scar or Jev, of Paradise Crescent.
Three of the men killed are yet to be identified.
The St James police continue to investigate the shootings.
