Singh, 54, of Lot 2 Latchman Singh Housing Scheme, Lusignan Railway Embankment, was found lying in a semi-conscious state with injuries to his body on Friday night.

His sister, Rohanie Bani, confirmed the findings of the autopsy.

She had told Stabroek News that he was picked up by a nephew and rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital and admitted. However, he succumbed on Saturday morning.

‘C’ Division Commander Calvin Brutus on Monday told Stabroek News that a team of investigators visited the street on which Singh was found and spoke with neighbours. He said that from information gathered, Singh had visited Narine’s Liquor Shop prior to being found on the road.  Brutus said investigators were told that Singh left without any injuries but as he was walking along the road he stumbled on some concrete blocks used by residents to fill potholes and fell.
