A city magistrate on Monday remanded a man to prison after he was read a murder charge.
Twenty-five-year-old Pascal Smith, stood before Magistrate Leron Daly, who read a charge which stated that he, on May 27, at Alexander Street, murdered John Houston.
Smith was not required to enter a plea to the indictable charge.
Magistrate Daly subsequently remanded the accused and adjourned the matter to June 29.
