Albouystown girl on  bail over obstructing policewoman

A sales clerk was yesterday granted bail after she was accused of obstructing a policewoman, who was attempting to perform her duties.

Nineteen-year-old Candacia Campbell was read a charge which stated that on June 20, at James Street, Albouystown, she obstructed Policewoman 22141 Renee in the execution of her duties.

The mother of one denied the allegation.

It was stated that the officer was performing duties in a seven-grammes cannabis find at the very location.

Magistrate Sunil Scarce granted the young woman, of 144, James Street Albouystown, $40,000 bail.

The matter will be called again on July 10 before Magistrate Annette Singh.
