The Government of Guyana is mourning the passing of Dr. Ivor S. Mitchell, former Managing Director of Guyana Office for Investment (GO-Invest) and Professor of Marketing at the Clark Atlanta University. He was 71.
Dr. Mitchell served as Managing Director of Go-Invest from 1994 to 1996. A release from the Ministry of the Presidency said that he also served as the Chairman of the Guyana Post Office Corporation and the Government Buildings and Properties Committee. From 1969-71, Dr. Mitchell was the Head of Department at the Guyana Development Corporation. He also served as Managing Director of the Guyana Chronicle and Guyana National Printers Limited.
