Witness in Number 70 carpenter murder case hospitalised

One of the witnesses in the murder case of Number 70 carpenter, Faiyaz Narinedatt, is presently hospitalised for suspected poisoning.

The 16-year-old was taken to the hospital after he returned home from the back dam on Tuesday afternoon and began vomiting repeatedly.

His mother told Stabroek New, that on Tuesday evening when her son returned home, it was then that he informed her that he was feeling weak and began vomiting. “He fall down and then we try take he upstairs to lay down”, she said. The woman stated, that she did not pay much heed since she thought her son was probably tired from working and needed time to rest to get better. However, on Wednesday after the lad began vomiting profusely, she rushed him to the hospital where he was immediately admitted.

According to the mother, her son informed her that on Tuesday afternoon, the man he works with offered him fried rice, which he accepted and ate. The lad told his mother, that that was the last thing he ate, after which he began feeling weak and upset.

Commander of B Division, Ian Amsterdam yesterday stated, that the matter was being investigated.
