Lodge woman accused of fraud

Denise Lovell

A Lodge woman was yesterday granted her release on a total of $300,000 bail by a city court after she denied two fraud charges.

Security officer Denise Lovell, 46, pleaded not guilty to the first charge, which stated that between November 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017, being entrusted with $320,000 by Rhonda James to deposit same into James’ New Building Society savings account, she fraudulently converted the money.

It was further alleged that between February 1 and June 30, 2017, being solely entrusted with $125,000 by James, in order to deposit same into James’ and Wanita Forde’s New Building Society mortgage account, she fraudulently converted the money.
