Constitutional reform is about engagement

Dear Editor,

Please allow me a response to the letter of Mr Ralph Ramkarran, Stabroek News, 2nd April, 2017, captioned `Hall was almost full’.

Of particular concern is the last statement in Mr Ramkarran’s letter which reads “Most of the attendees, from a wide cross-section of Guyanese, remained for the full three hours, on a Friday evening”.

I am well aware at the frequency with which Georgetown is read as Guyana. Isn’t it about time we stopped the charade?

Constitutional reform, like all other reforms, is about engagement.

Yours faithfully,

Rishee Thakur
