Reference is made to a letter which appeared in the Stabroek News’ May 3 edition bearing the caption `Pensioners having hard time at Melanie NIS Office.’
Please be advised that Management is very concerned about the content stated therein and wishes to offer the following response:
- Members of staff are trained to deal with members of the public and are expected to do so in a professional manner.
- Employees are frequently reminded of their responsibilities and management’s expectation.
- This matter is currently being investigated and once breaches are found, the necessary corrective measures will be put in place to avoid such recurrences.
