I’d like to respond to an article appearing on the front page of your Monday, 5th June issue, but I’d like to do so with a picture which will, for the most part tell its own story.
The news article is the one on the cleaning of a “canal” along Sherriff Street, and among other things it tells us that the work started in Stone Avenue and also that the “canal” is the “main drain”.
Attached is a picture of one of the canals in Campbellville, and at the time it was taken the vehicle it was taken from was stationary on Stone Avenue ‒ this canal by the way, is one of the main drains, but not the only one.
