Dear Editor,
What sort of codes are stipulated for the construction of buildings in Guyana? Repercussions and penalties must follow the tragedy of the 12-year-old child at LBI as reported.
Responsibility must fall on the authorities and builder who created this death trap.
Who can say if surveys are being carried out to discover how many more such calamities are waiting to happen? Legal actions are fully justified in pursuing this matter.
My deepest sympathies and condolences are offered to the family. Let this be the last example of poor house construction.
