Civil Aviation Authority has engaged Public Infrastructure Ministry on breaches of Lethem Airport fence

I acknowledge receipt of correspondence from Stabroek News dated August 24, 2017 in relation to a letter by Mr Clairmont Lye captioned ‘Lethem Airport fence breached in 18 places’ which was published on the same date.

Please be advised that the Guyana Civil Aviation authority is aware of the issue and has engaged the Ministry of Public Infrastructure, the owner and operator of the Lethem Aerodrome, with a view to having these deficiencies corrected within the shortest possible time.

The GCAA will continue to ensure that safety of the flying public is maintained.
