We need to move forward

Dear Editor,

Guyana is a relatively young country that needs a lot of healing and reconciliation. A lot of bad things happened in the past that caused all races to suffer. We need to move forward by putting aside our petty differences and accept people for who they are and not who we want them to be.

Guyanese have been squabbling with each other for political power and for scarce resources for too long. Are we to condemn the next generation to do the same things? That is, squabble for political power and scarce resources?

When is the opportune time to heal a nation?

Now!

Yours faithfully,

Sean Ori
