Mayor & Town Council, Divisional Commander made a difference in noise nuisance case

Dear Editor,

Just a short note to thank you for intervening in the matter of very loud music played publicly in the vicinity of All Saints Anglican Church at the corner of Main and Trinity Streets in New Amsterdam.

The increased police patrols, the noise abatement citations, the visible presence of patrol cars have all made a difference in this particular neighbourhood.

I commend highly the active support of the Mayor and Town Council as well as the Divisional Commander of the Police Department and his staff in the Township of New Amsterdam, and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Yours faithfully,

Father William Guthrie

Priest-in-Charge

Dear Editor, The Town Clerk’s letter of February 16, 2018 in SN, `As Town Clerk I only act on the basis of legal authority’ is  yet another demonstration of his disqualification for office.

Letter by Councillor Kuppen is riddled with inaccuracies

Impressed by publication on early childhood development

Dear Editor, Influenced as I am and have been since my early career as a school teacher that the focus of our basic educational pursuits should be both academic and attitudinal, I was recently impressed by a publication I chanced upon in my daughter’s home in Toronto (she herself is a School Superintendent with the Toronto District School Board).
