Dear Editor,
With the events surrounding the debacle that was the elections of the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB), cricket in Berbice has now been reduced to rubble because of the selfishness and unscrupulousness of a few who would do anything to control the game in the region. Instead of allowing a free democratic process, and similar to some other sporting organizations’ elections, we see folks who have been around the BCB forever, and who offer nothing but ancient and exhausted ideas in an attempt to preserve power at the expense of fans in the region and all Guyana. I am hopeful that the outcome of the elections is challenged in court and that justice prevails.
